PPS Mutual Insurance has hired Brynley Williams as a business development manager to help grow the mutual life insurer’s book in Queensland.
In the new role, Williams will be tasked with driving the ongoing expansion of the state’s network by managing key financial adviser relationships.
Williams who reports to the Queensland state manager Richard Hopwood has worked in the Queensland life insurance market since 2008.
Brynley joins PPS Mutual joins from AIA Australia where he spent almost a year as a regional client development associate.
Before that, he worked as a digital business development manager at BT.
Earlier, he worked as a business implementation specialist at Zurich Financial Services and ANZ and as a new business manager at Asteron Life.
“We are confident that Brynley’s background and expertise align with PPS Mutual’s unique proposition that focuses on creating security and peace of mind for Members in both their working life and retirement,” said Hopwood.

Williams added that he looked forward to getting advisers across the insurer’s unique model and offering.

PPS Mutual currently offers life insurance products with a profit share and distributes the profit to its members.
The insurer is supported by PPS South Africa, the country’s largest mutual company.
